Everything we get asked most often about booking, fit, warranty and what to expect.
Just head to your nearest Ideal Feet store, San Antonio or Houston. Walk-ins are always welcome, no prior appointment or booking needed. If you'd rather lock in a time, you can book online and we'll have someone ready for you.
No. Walk into any Ideal Feet location and get fitted by a specialist, no doctor's visit or referral required.
We do. Show up to the store and our arch support specialist handles the imprint analysis and fitting to make sure you leave with the correct model for your foot.
Same day. There's no waiting for a lab order, you walk out wearing them once the fitting and test walk are done.
Generally yes for older kids and teens whose feet have finished most of their growth. Bring them in for a fitting and our specialist will tell you honestly whether it's the right time, rather than fitting a style that will just be outgrown.
Usually yes. Ideal Feet fits a wide range of footwear, from dress shoes to work boots. Bring the shoes you wear most and we'll fit to those at your appointment; many customers end up with a second pair for different footwear.
Our Relaxers range is built specifically for that: ultra-thin, super-flexible inserts across three flexibility levels, designed for leisure shoes and sandals where a standard arch support would be too bulky.
Often, yes. Shoe cushioning and arch support solve different problems. A well-made shoe still won't correct how your specific arches are loading, which is what a fitted support does. It's worth coming in for a free imprint analysis to see what's actually happening under your feet.
Because one firmness doesn't fit everyone. Our range runs from Trainers (our firmest, corrective option) through Maintainers (thin, light, for narrow shoes and everyday wear) to Relaxers (ultra-flexible comfort insoles), across 18 styles and 250 sizes in total.
Flat feet, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, heel spurs, bunions, high arches, metatarsalgia, Morton's neuroma, shin splints, hammer toes, bursitis, ankle instability, balance issues and general foot pain. They can also reduce knee, hip and lower-back discomfort by improving alignment.
Drugstore inserts are mostly cushioning. Ideal Feet arch supports are engineered to be firm and flexible at the same time, built to correct the biomechanics behind your pain rather than just soften the step. That's also why they're fitted in person instead of sold off a shelf.
Most people adjust within 1 to 2 weeks. Every fitting includes a 90-day adjustment period at no extra cost, and our team will talk you through easing into daily wear.
Yes. They're designed to move between athletic shoes, boots, sandals and more. If you wear very different shoe types day to day, it's worth asking about a second pair at your fitting.
They're low maintenance. Clean gently with mild soap and water if needed, and avoid exposing them to excessive heat so they keep their shape.
Free re-checks and adjustments for as long as you own them, no time limit. If a pair ever needs replacing due to wear, it's a flat $75 replacement fee rather than the full price of a new set.
We don't take insurance directly, since we don't diagnose conditions or write prescriptions. You can pay with an HSA or FSA card, and some insurance plans may offer partial reimbursement, so it's worth checking with your provider.
No. They're exclusive to Ideal Feet stores, because getting the fit right requires the imprint analysis and precision fitting our specialists do in person, not something that works mail-order.
No waiting weeks for a lab order and no prescription needed. You get immediate results, a 90-day adjustment period included, a lifetime warranty with $75 replacements instead of full price, and you walk out wearing them the same day you're fitted.
Yes, both stores also carry a range of shoes, foot care products and accessories alongside the arch supports.
Two locations in Texas: San Antonio on Loop 410 at Blanco Rd, and Houston on Beltway 8. Walk-ins are always welcome at both, no appointment or prescription needed.
Call the store directly, or come in and ask in person. We'd rather answer it before your fitting than after.
